“The heritage of elegance.”
Nariman’s mother was skilled in weaving, and his father, Haj Jafarnejad, was a carpet trader. He spent his early years in Baku. Carpet weaving has a long tradition on his mother’s side. During infancy, his mother had woven his cradle from warp and woof leftover from her carpet-making. Nariman was pleased with the delightful rhythmic sounds of the loom. After his mother’s death, almost 8, he moved to Tabriz city where his father, who worked in the carpet trade, raised him. At 18, Nariman fulfilled his dream of producing handwoven carpets with the help of one of his father’s apprentices, reigniting his connection with the weaving workshops.
